Mechanical Engineering              

The department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the year 1985 and is accredited by the NBA since 1998. The department is one of the Research Centre approved by Anna University, Chennai. With well-equipped laboratories, research supervisors and dedicated faculty members, the department offers UG/PG/Ph.D courses and specializes in the fields of Thermal, Design, Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering. It also houses two research cells, FRP cell and Multi-Disciplinary Bio-Fuel Research Cell, which are used extensively used for research and consultancy projects.

Automobile Engineering

The Department of Automobile Engineering was started in the year 1999 with sanctioned intake of 30, then the intake was increased from 30 to 60 in the year 2009. The department is accredited by NBA since 2006 and has well-qualified and experienced faculty and staff members of proven ability and administrative skills. The department has 2/3/4 Wheeler Chassis Dynamometer to simulate the vehicle as in on-road condition and provides consultancy services to industries and research scholars in the field of engine performance and emission using Advanced instruments like, AVL measurement system.

Marine Engineering

The department of Marine Engineering was started in the year 2000. This programme complies all the rules and regulations of Directorate General of Shipping, Govt. of India. This course is also approved by AICTE, New Delhi and DOTE, Tamilnadu. This course is graded as "Very Good" by Indian Register of Shipping after the recent Comprehensive Inspection Programme as per the revised DG Shipping guidelines. On successful completion of this course, students can join challenging and rewarding sea career.
