About Prof. A Jothilingam

Prof. A. Jothilingam

Prof.A.Jothilingam was born in Salem District 1956

Professor did SSLC and PUC in first class.

Later on, he did his B.E in the Institute of road and transport technology (IRTT) [1], Erode.

He completed M.E in College of Engg, Guindy.

Later on joined as Assistant Professor  in the year 1981.

He has served various administrative position including hostel executive warden for 5 years,

He has involved in AU-FRG CAD/CAM Anna University for 6 years

Additional controller examination, deputy controller examination for Anna University

He was professor and head for the five years and 6 months.

Professor established the fluid power, CNC and image processing lab.

Contribution to Mechatronics:

Professor given drastic changes for the development M.E mechatronics degree. During his tenure, he allocated and renovated separate building for Mechatronics. He organized 6 conference and conducted various summer and winter schools. During his period, around 500 engg affiliated colleges students were trained specifically workshop on embedded system programing for robotic and mechatronics applications.  

In his tenure, the department received around 2 cores funding from central government bodies.

Our professor is students friendly and He always positive and never said “No” for positive to development.
